Faith Formation
The entire Christian life journey
is most truly understood to be one on-going life-long
process of faith formation. Here at Church of St.
Patrick we attempt to provide our entire community with
opportunities for theological and spiritual enrichment.
We offer ways to deepen our Roman Catholic understanding
of the life of prayer, the Scriptures, and the
sacramentality of our theological and spiritual
tradition. Workshops are offered throughout the course
of the year, and are announced in the Church bulletin as
the event approaches.

Youth
|
| Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a program based on
Maria Montessori’s educational principles, and is for children
three to twelve years of age. It is held in a special room at
the Parish Center called an atrium, which is prepared especially
for children. The atrium is a sacred space where the children
grow in the knowledge of Jesus and His love. Children begin this
program when they are three or four years old. To learn more
about the atrium, please visit this website:

| Family-Based Catechesis (formerly CCD) is our program
for families whose children attend public schools. Classes for
children and their parents are held in the Parish Center on
Sunday mornings during Advent and Lent. From Christmas to the
beginning of Lent parents home school their children using age
appropriate texts. |
| Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) is
the process by which children seven years and older prepare to
receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. |

| Children’s Liturgy of the Word
at the 8:30 & 10:30
a.m. Masses, our Pastor will ask the children to please come
forward. He will speak with the children for a short time and
then they are dismissed with the Congregation singing a blessing
over them. Children do not need to sign up ahead of time to
attend, nor do they need to go every Sunday.

| Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a
process of welcoming, forming and catechizing those who wish to
be baptized in the Catholic Church. It is also for those who
have been baptized in another Christian Church and want to join
the Catholic Church, and for baptized Catholics who have not
received First Eucharist and Confirmation. The goal of RCIA is
to foster and deepen the conversion of individuals and the
entire community of believers. |
Adult Bible Study
meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month from
September through May from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Parish
Center. Bring your home Bible or one will be provided for you.
|
| ReMembering Church (Returning Catholics) is our
program for adult Catholics who have been away from the Church
for several years, need a Church update, and seek reconciliation
with God and with the Church. The program meets weekly at the
Parish Center, from mid-October until Holy Thursday. |
