| Altar Servers assist the presider at
Liturgy. Altar Serving is open to parishioner's age 11 years and
older who have received their First Communion. Training is
held on a quarterly basis in September, December, March and
June. It is not necessary to be a current or former student of
St. Patrick School. Please contact the Parish Center for
questions. |
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
at the 8:30 & 10:30
a.m. Masses, our Pastor will ask the children to please come
forward. He will speak with the children for a short time and
then they are dismissed with the Congregation singing a blessing
over them. Children do not need to sign up ahead of time to
attend, nor do they need to go every Sunday.
|
Eucharistic Ministers of the Altar
prepare the sacred vessels for Communion before Mass, and assist
in distributing the consecrated Body and Blood of Christ at
Mass. Designated Eucharistic Ministers also purify the sacred
vessels after Mass.
|
Ushers welcome the community with a smile
as they enter and leave church. They answer questions, seat the
community, take up the collection, direct the Communion
procession, and assist where needed.
|
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at
liturgical celebrations as well as read the petitions and
announcements. This ministry requires a person with a good
speaking voice who reads with life, energy, intelligence and
enthusiasm.
|
| Music Ministry is open to all
Parishioners who can carry a tune and are willing to serve. If
you can read music and play an instrument, so much the better! |
