Reconciliation

Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained. (John 20:23)

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, is a rite undertaken for the sins committed after Baptism. Catholics should receive this Sacrament at least once during the year and whenever else they feel called to it.

Individual reconciliation is available on Saturday’s before mass, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the Church.

This Sacrament is also available by appointment.

Twice a year we celebrate a communal service in preparation for Christmas and Easter.

First Reconciliation for Children:

At St. Patrick Parish, baptized Catholic children who have attained the age of reason (generally age 7 or second grade) may begin immediate preparation for their First Reconciliation. Immediate preparation presumes remote preparation was accomplished in the prior year(s). Immediate preparation for the sacraments begins in the Fall with the sacrament of Reconciliation and progresses toward Eucharist in the following months.
